The i-Kabin brings the power of solar to off-grid communities and businesses. With a battery recharging kiosk capable of recharging 40 lithium-ion rechargeable batteries - i-Packs - and 15 mobile phones at a time, the i-Kabin also provides shaded space adaptable for several business and community functions depending on its location.

 

Designed with versatility in mind, the i-Kabin can be configured to a variety of applications.

  • AC / DC Power

    Power large appliances like a refrigerator with AC power to provide additional services, or small devices on-site using DC power. All usage trackable and billable using our proprietary digital kiosk.

  • WiFi / SatCom Connectivity

    New Wifi and SatCom features open up a whole new world of opportunity for the i-Kabin, from bringing access to information to rural communities and expanding use-case possibilities for B2B services.

  • Manage up-to 500 i-Packs

    Each i-Kabin can charge 40 i-Packs at any time, enabling total management of around 500 i-Packs. Customers can rent or purchase i-Packs, and pay for each charge equivalent to 50 hours of clean, portable energy.

  • Mobile payments and tracking

    The i-Kabin operator can easily accept mobile payments, conduct Know-Your-Customer (KYC) verification, and track customer usage, battery life, and more in a simple and frictionless way.

  • Appliance sales

    A range of small, durable appliances compatible with i-Packs, such as TV’s, fans, radios, and LED lights, are also available for sale, bettering the lives of customers and supplementing the i-Kabin operator’s income.

  • e-Commerce lockers

    Now that i-Kabin customers can access the internet and shop through e-Commerce, what better way to make the i-Kabin the village hub than digitally controlled lockers for receiving online orders?

The i-Pack is a portable battery pack that can only be recharged at an i-Kabin and which is compatible with a range of low-powered appliances such as lights, TV's, fans, and other USB or 12v-compatible devices.
